סמינר בחלקיקים: Extrinsic Curvature in Hadronic Strings

Abstract:

We study a generalization of the Nambu-Goto action where rigidity is added to the world-sheet using its extrinsic curvature. We show how the change in the action affects the behavior of the string and its boundary conditions. The implications of the rigidity over the stringy description of hadrons are discussed.
